Meiji period bronze bear

Meiji period bronze bear
A$0.00
3757 A very fine quality Japanese Meiji period bronze bear. Depicted striding forward, its left front paw raised, its right front paw planted on outstretched leg, its mouth open, calling.
Another superb example of the Japanese Meiji period sculptors' ability to capture the anatomy, movement and spirit of a creature and create a truly lifelike piece of sculpture from metal. Finely modelled and cast and with very careful and complete after-cast working.
