A very nice example of a late 18th or early 19th century English Windsor armchair in elm, walnut and beech. With a well patinated elm seat, stick back design, walnut arms and legs and a fine colour and patination all over. This is almost as much a lovely piece of folk-art as it is furniture - made beautiful by 200+ years of use. Circa 1800
Note: At some stage in it’s life during a restoration, one of the front legs has been accidentally swapped with one of the back legs - rather a nice quirky feature.
