5318 A late 19th century bronze seated figure of Hermes, after the ancient Antique discovered 1758 in Herculaneum in the Villa dei Papiri which had been covered by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD79. This example cast in Naples by Chiurazzi, circa 1900. The original now in the National Museum of Archaeology, Napoli.
