Julius Elischer sideboard

Julius Elischer sideboard

A unique late 20th century oak veneered and brass mounted sideboard, designed by one of the most important Western Australian architects of the 20th century, Julius Elischer (1918-2014), as part of the furnishings for his masterpiece of residential architecture in Perth, the Rodgers House, Mosman Park. Sadly, this high quality locally made piece of furniture, complete with all custom designed and handmade brass hardware, is one of the few surviving relics from the Rodgers House. The house was demolished in 2008, a great loss to the built environment of Perth.
